much as retailers would like you to believe that computers are plug
and play, nothing could be further from the truth. There are hundreds,
even thousands, of individual software and hardware settings
that go into making an office computer system work properly.
Documenting
those settings are essential to rapid repair times, smooth expansion,
and user competence. We collect, collate, and update a massive volume
of information about each computer that make up our clients' systems.
We record
system configurations into over 100 unique categories, cros- referenced
and related to each other to gain the "total system picture."
All of our technicians review this information before working on
our client's system so that they know how one component affects
another.
We also
document work procedures. These procedures are provided to our clients
in the form of training reports that are available as either printed
documents or online under secure web logins.
